Marcus Jones

Dean of Students

I graduated from Gannon University in 2019, where I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, complemented by a minor in Social Work. This educational background has provided me with a strong foundation for understanding human behavior and systemic support. Over the past six years, I’ve dedicated myself to working directly with students aged 9–18, assisting those with a wide range of needs. In these roles, I’ve also gained valuable experience managing caseloads and supervising associate staff members, which has further honed my leadership and organizational skills. I am deeply passionate about public service and education, and I hold a firm belief that every child possesses unique strengths waiting to be discovered. My primary goal is to help each student uncover their inherent abilities, build unwavering confidence, and ultimately reach their individual aspirations. I take immense pride in being what I call a “kid connector”—someone students can genuinely trust, relate to, and grow with as they navigate their academic and personal journeys.

When I’m not at Perspectives Academy, my life is just as dynamic and fulfilling. You can usually find me immersed in the energy of live music events, which is a particular joy of mine. Spending quality time with my wonderful wife, Shay, and our amazing kids, Z and Mari, is always a top priority and brings me the greatest happiness. I also channel my passion for sports into coaching high school athletics, and I dedicate time to training youth athletes, helping them develop their skills and reach their full potential on and off the field.
