Mental Health Therapist

I earned my Master’s in Counseling from Walsh University, with a strong focus on trauma-informed psychotherapy. My mission is to help children and families not just cope, but truly thrive. I blend effective, research-backed methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), and mindfulness with a deeply personal, strength-based approach. For my younger clients, I love using play therapy, and I also offer “walk and talk” therapy to help everyone feel more comfortable and calm during sessions.

My clinical focus is comprehensive and always integrated, designed to support your child’s full growth. I specialize in care for pediatric and adolescent clients, help develop social skills for those on the autism spectrum, and teach Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills for distress tolerance and building resilience. I believe in a collaborative approach, so I often work closely with schools, care teams, and other professionals to create thorough treatment plans that support well-being across academic, family, and community settings. Additionally, I offer structured life coaching for clients seeking goal-focused, non-clinical guidance during less acute times, always meeting you exactly where you are and at your own pace.

My unique background deeply informs my therapeutic style. As a former Army Reservist engineer and an experienced collegiate and post-collegiate track and cross-country coach and marathon runner, I bring practical insights into high-stress environments, teamwork, and performance psychology. These experiences shape my pragmatic, paced, and compassionate approach, where I highly value resilience, finding meaning, and functional recovery. My core mission is to empower you and your family by teaching practical skills, increasing coping resilience, and providing unwavering support as you navigate life’s transitions, recover from trauma, and pursue sustained well-being at your own pace.

When I’m not working, you’ll often find me cycling, coaching cross country and track and field, or cheering on Cleveland sports downtown.
